This is a well-deserved rivalry.
Let's go with feats here (size really does not always matter in a kaiju fight). Goji, in different incarnations, has destroyed the Gorath Asteroid (destroyed a city, Godzilla was fine), has tanked point-blank shots from the military (Kong's most famous sequence ends with his getting shot down by planes, and little since has stated he is immune to conventional weaponry), and defeated monsters such as Gigan, King Ghidorah (who in one variant eats planets Galactaus-style), and Keizer Ghidorah (they're considered different. Sure, this was with an energy boost). Kong's tallest size, coincidentally enough, was in the movie King Kong vs Godzilla, where he was 45 metres tall. That's still 5 metres shorter than Showa Godzilla, and almost a sixth of the size of Godzilla Earth. While size doesn't matter in kaiju fights (like Goji vs Destoroyah and Gamera vs Irys), it's still an interesting titbit. Let's assume that Kong was allowed his electricity ability he was given in the original movie. Godzilla in Godzilla vs Gigan I believe was also given this ability, making it null and void. Additionally, why don't we look at the character of Gorosaurus? He has faced both kaiju and lost to both if I remember. Even if he won against Showa Godzilla, all the other variants of Godzilla are significantly more powerful, and anywhere from small island to f*ck*ng planet level.
Kong is faster, I will give him that, and is generally smarter than Godzilla, meaning that this bout may well be closer than many think. However, Godzilla's better strength would give him the victory.
